Membership Eligibility and Application
Eligibility
Membership is open to any individual who supports and subscribes to the objectives of GRAS, meets the eligibility criteria for the specific membership category applied for, and agrees to pay the applicable fees.
Application Process
- Submission: Prospective members must complete and submit the online membership application form available on our website.
- Review: Applications will be reviewed by the Membership Coordinator to verify eligibility and authenticity of the provided information.
- Approval: Upon successful verification and approval by the Membership Coordinator and Treasurer (for payment confirmation), the application will be forwarded to the Secretary for final approval and digital signing of the membership certificate.
- Notification: Applicants will be notified via email about the status of their application.
Membership Categories
Member
- Eligibility: Open to individuals who wish to actively participate in the society’s activities.
- Benefits:
- Regular membership with ongoing access to society events and resources.
- Non Resident Member: Hams with a valid call sign residing outside of Goa who are not required to actively participate in local meetings and events.
Fees : Rs 500. - Resident Member: Hams with a valid call sign who are required to actively participate in local meetings and events. They must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for residency verification in Goa or a WPC license showing a station location in Goa.
Fees : Rs 500.
Lifetime Member
- Eligibility: Available to individuals committed to supporting the society for a lifetime.
- Benefits:
- Lifetime membership with uninterrupted access to all society events and resources.
- Lifetime Member: Hams with a valid call sign who are required to actively participate in local meetings and events. They must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for residency verification in Goa or a WPC license showing a station location in Goa.
Fees : Rs 4000.
Associate Member
- Eligibility: High-ranking government officials who are invited to join the society.
- Benefits:
- Membership granted free of charge.
- Opportunity to contribute expertise and insights to the society.
SWL/YL/Student Member
- Eligibility: Open to Short Wave Listeners (SWL), Young Ladies (YL), and students with an interest in radio and communication technologies.
- Benefits:
- Access to society events and resources tailored for learners and enthusiasts.
- SWL (Short Wave Listener): SWL Members are enthusiasts of short wave listening.
Fees : Free
